About Me

Hi!

I'm Lauren. I'm married to a super supportive dude. We have one insanely active one year old kid... Seriously, he keeps me on my toes. We live in sunny southern California. I have a bachelors degree in business. I've worked as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant (for pretty much all of my working life) helping other people keep their business on track.

A few years ago I started taking some classes in Photoshop and Illustrator just for fun. I soon began spending all my free time at home playing around on these programs... to the point where my husband had to come in and ask me to come spend time with him because he missed me (oops). It was then that I decided, if I'm going to spend all my time creating things, I might as well share them with people. It took me a while to get over my fear of judgment from others and actually put my stuff out there though. It took even longer for me to actually tell people about it (fear can be such a paralyzing thing).

Hennig Designs is a dream, inspired by a hobby turned passion. It has been around since early 2013, right before I found out I was prego. My mind is constantly going and I like to channel all that energy into something creative. I design invitations and prints out of my house during naps and after bedtime, and I try to have as much fun with it as possible.

This is pretty much me right now. I'm either chasing after a crazy toddler, watching movies with my guy, hanging out with my family, or  hustling my booty off trying to turn something I love doing into something that can help support my little family. Thank you so much for your support!
